On May 23, 2012, two women serving in the United States military filed suit challenging the restrictions on women serving in combat roles.  The two women, Command Sergeant Major Jane Baldwin, and Colonel Ellen Haring, filed the lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of  Columbia.  The suit has obviously been in the headlines, and many commentators have been offering their views on the restrictions on women in combat, and have offered commentary on the substance of the initial complaint filed by the plaintiffs.  I have not yet had an opportunity to read, let alone evaluate, the plaintiffs’ complaint in that case.  However, I have retrieved the original filing from the federal court file, and am making it available here in the event individuals wish to read the actual complaint rather than rely on the opinions of others.    Baldwin and Haring v.
